DERMAPEN 4 Microneedling

Information and price list

WHAT IS MICRONEEDLING?

At Prestige Aesthetics Clinic this procedure is also known as Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) and involves tiny needle punctures into the dermal tissue using the automatic Dermapen 4. This treatment helps to break down scar tissue and re-starts the own body's natural healing response to rebuild within the dermis, promoting brand new skin cell formation. This natural action of cell rejuvenation tends to slow down as we age.  Collagen and elastin production in the skin is accelerated with this treatment - leading to a rejuvenation of new skin cells and smoother looking skin.  A course  of 3-4 is usually recommended for dramatic improvements in the skin structure and texture. The definite benefits of this procedure with regards to scarring and stretch-marks is that the improvement you see is permanent.

Microneedling can also be incorporated with Mesotherapy, PRP/iPRF and Exosomes. By combining these treatments together, clinic outcomes can be improved dramatically and results achieved more speedily.

INTRODUCING DERMAPEN 4™ MICRONEEDLING PEN

The latest Dermapen™ is taking the microneedling pen industry by storm.

Dermapen 4 glides over the skin creating millions of fine, vertical fractional channels up to 104% faster than all other microneedling pens. These channels can carry up to 80% more topical nutrients deeper into the skin.

The micro-injuries trigger a natural process of repair, increasing the production of collagen and elastin and visibly improving a wide range of skin concerns.

Why Dermapen 4?

  • Minimal pain & no epidermal tearing

  • Only microneedling pen with a dedicated Scar Treatment Setting

  • 16-needle cartridge with AOVN technology

  • Creates up to 1,920 micro-channels a second (more than any other microneedling pen)

  • Adjustable depth from 0.2mm – 3.0mm (max)

  • No cross infection or side effect risks with Anti Contamination Management.

  • Lightweight, easy to use, dual power

  • ISO13485, FDA and CE marking approved

Skin Indications for treatment

Over the past decade, Dermapen have continued to refine and developed Protocols to provide the best visible outcomes for the following skin concerns.

The beauty and aesthetic industry is undergoing a transformation. Many people who are invested in looking after their skin are searching for alternative options to cosmetic injectables. Until a few years ago, they were the only way to achieve skin rejuvenation for anti-ageing, without having to undergo the knife.

But they do very little for someone with other skin concerns such as acne, pigmentation or rosacea. So while some people may wish to preserve a youthful appearance, for others it may be important to diminish a different type of skin concern.

Exosomes explained

Exosomes are the by-product of cells. In simple terms, they are the bud-like component created when two cells fuse together. They are often described as microscopic bubbles or in the scientific realm as nano extracellular vesicles.

Eventually, the bud-like components break away from the fused cells, but these tiny molecules don’t fizzle away. They have an enormous role to play in skin rejuvenation.

An interesting fact about Exosomes is that although they’re not cells—which means they don’t have the ability to replicate, they are however important for tissue healing, regeneration and repair. Ok, you may be wondering, how is this possible?

Exosomes contain biomolecules including proteins, growth factors, lipids and nucleic acids such as messenger-RNA, (mRNA) and micro-RNA (miRNA). They act as messengers from stem cells to other cells. One way to imagine Exosomes at work is to think of them as little envelopes of regeneration from cell to cell.

So what this boils down to is that Exosomes have enormous benefits for the skin! They have been shown to:

  • Be an effective form of skin rejuvenation for the face, neck and hands.

  • Drastically diminish the appearance of upper lip and smile lines, crow’s feet, and neck rings.

  • Reduce the appearance of age spots and acne scars including skin depressions.

And so much more- see FAQ below for more details!

While Exosomes have created a real buzz in skin rejuvenation therapy, they are not a passing trend.

Exosomes are revolutionising skin rejuvenation.

Now that you know about Exosomes, would you like to know where they come from?

Exosomes are connected to stem cells and are retrieved from Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs). Yes, that does sound very scientific, but it’s all done above-board. They are ethically harvested from consenting donors and are extracted and synthetically processed in a laboratory to strict protocols without any dilemmas or risk of corruption or cell mutation.

Thinking of incorporating Exosomes to your microneedling…well here are some mind-blowing numbers:

  • When a practitioner uses MG-EXO-SKIN as a Meso-Glide during microneedling, about 7,000 Exosomes will fit onto the end of a single 33-guage needle.

  • One oscillation of a Dermapen 4 needle cartridge can deliver 112,000 Exosomes into the skin.

  • If used at top speed of 120rps, 13,440,000 Exosomes can potentially be delivered per second, with the potential for 806,400,000 Exosomes to be delivered per minute.

That’s a colossal number of Exosomes with regeneration capability being dispersed deeply and proportionately into the skin.

And while some practitioners may opt to inject Exosomes, microneedling with Dermapen 4 is a far superior technique.

With this method there are:

  • No risk of bruising at the injection site.

  • Fast recovery time so you can resume daily activities.

  • A much quicker application process—lunch-time appointments are doable.

FAQs

  • After consultation, the skin will be cleansed and disinfected. For Deep treatments a numbing cream may be applied prior to treatment, however this isn’t advised by Dermapen as it can interfere with results. Due to the vast speed of the pen and the super thin 33g needle tips gauge, the treatment is far more tolerable than other microneedling pens.

A topical meso serum will be applied during the treatment for epidermal infusion through the microneedling channels - helping to feed nutrients into the dermis. For the deeper treatment, there may be some peripheral bleeding which is a good sign for collagen induction therapy. The treatment may take 20-30mins to complete and can be combined with Dermaplaning, exosomes, PRP/iPRF.

  • Redness with a sun-burnt sensation is usually reported by patients who undergo this treatment. This tends to settle usually within 24-72 hours. SPF 50 is advised for 2-4 weeks after treatment to help minimise any risk of skin damage from UV radiation as the skin will be sensitive post treatment. Make up can be applied 24hrs after treatment.

  • Results can be seen as soon as next day - glowing skin! However, collagen induction can take up to 3 months to be fully effective. The longevity of results depends on age and lifestyle. A initial course of 3 treatments 4-6 weeks apart is usually recommended.

  • The Exosomes in Dp Dermaceuticals are the youngest and purest source which ensures superior quality with no corruption. The products have been clinically shown to:

-Send signals at a cellular level to boost the natural repair process for more youthful looking skin.

-Maximise the potential of skin regeneration without invasive techniques.

-Stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, the building blocks of skin.

-Promote wound healing to minimise the appearance of scars.

-Help reduce the appearance of many common concerns such as pigmentation, rosacea and alopecia, as well as ageing.

-Provide solutions for multiple skin conditions or concerns (not limited to anti-ageing).
